How St. Louis Roofing & Siding Got Started
St. Louis Roofing & Siding is the real definition of a business you can trust, in a field where trust is hard to come by. Frank Vandevender founded the company more than 20 years ago, and his son Josh worked alongside him for years before taking over the business after Frank’s passing in 2021. Frank instilled his values and work ethic in Josh, and that legacy of honest work, quality production, and industry expertise still guides every project our team takes on today.
Josh’s wife, Amy, works the business side of the company and is active in customer service and communicating directly with insurance companies on claims. As a Certified Remote Pilot, she also performs drone inspections herself on larger or more complex projects.
The Vandevenders live in St. Louis County, and we relocated our office to nearby Kirkwood in 2025 — right next to the farmer’s market — where we’re active members of the Kirkwood Chamber of Commerce and supporters of the local school district foundation. Our office isn’t just a mailing address: you can come in, sit down with our team, and choose your materials in person. That’s not something most contractors can offer.
As an Owens Corning Preferred Contractor and one of the few FORTIFIED-certified roofers in the St. Louis area, we hold ourselves to standards that go beyond the minimum — backed by an A+ Better Business Bureau rating and a reputation we’ve built one job at a time.

The People Behind the Work
Josh leads St. Louis Roofing & Siding today, continuing the hands-on standard his father Frank built the company on more than 20 years ago. He works closely with our team on quality and process, while our crew handles the day-to-day estimates and installations on the ground.
Amy manages day-to-day operations, client communication, and our drone inspection program. She holds an FAA remote pilot certificate, so our drone inspections are legally compliant. She also recently earned FORTIFIED certification.
